	May 17 - Grant Ranch, Sat, 4D. Enjoy spring wildflowers while hiking through the grassy hills of this park near Mt Hamilton. No-host carpool 8:15am at Cubberley Auditorium (Montrose and Middlefield Rd., Palo Alto), or, meet 9:00am at Grant Ranch, the parking area near the Visitor's Center. Leader: Bob Suzuki.
	In the heat of the last week, the hills had turned to brown.
	Hikers and livestock made the most of available shade.

	There were some flowers I'd missed the week before: wind poppies and penstemon.
	And a sunflower probably not mules ears.
	The creek offered a brief cool respite.
	Click left for lunch movie.
	Up hill and down, shimmering heat and coolness.
	Our bikes were right where we left them.
