| April 12 Sat 3C DAY HIKE to Steep Ravine Cabins Rocky Pt Beach Depart 9 AM SHARP Old Mill Park (Directions below) Hike from Old Mill Park and climb the famous Dipsea steps, following the route of the second oldest foot race in the US down to Muir Woods. We leave the Dipsea Trail at Steep Ravine and hike along the creek across Highway 1 to Steep Ravine Cabins. Lunch is at the picnic tables overlooking the cliffs and ocean, with spectacular rock chimneys. We return up Steep Ravine, enjoying the ladder in route, and return by Troop 80 and the high Ridge route. 13 miles + 3000'. Back byn 4:30 PM. Rain cancels. | |
