June 18 - Mt Tam Circumambulation - Saturday 4C Approximate distance is 18 miles. We'll circle around this majestic mountain! Start at the Mt Home parking area; catch the Bootjack and Cataract to the lakes; hike up Eldridge Grade for lovely views; then back to start via Hoo-Koo-E-Koo. Bring lunch and liquids. Carpool at the Page Mill Road and Highway 280 Park & Ride at 7:30 AM or Mt Home parking area 9:00 AM. Leaders: Debbie Benham and Charlie Rankin.
We got off to a cold foggy start and soon encountered intermittent trail damage.
Jessie proved herself braver than any of the other BMG or DHS members.
The corn was as high as an elephant's eye at the Mountain Theatre.
The Cataracts were running but obscuring summer foliage made photography difficult.
The fog finally cleared.
Our usual feeding frenzy was interrupted by a wedding in progress at Mountain Home.
